Professional Dancer, Choreographer, Educator, Interdisciplinary Collaborator and Serial Idealist.

Her ethos revolves around empowering individuals through the art of movement, both as medicine and as play to promote confidence, personal expression and empathy. Maybelle is interested in topics and things that relates to the everyday life, with a tinge of the whimsical.

 

Her body of work has made significant influences in the local contemporary dance scene, creating dance experiences that are imaginative, highly accessible and moving for audiences. She has also performed in numerous venues across the UK, EU and Singapore. An instinctive and natural collaborator, she has worked with visual artists, fashion designers, filmmakers, sound designers as well as technicians to explore the boundaries of where dance can exist, both in physical and virtual realms. A highlight in her career was being featured in Vogue Singapore and Candlelight Concerts.

Currently, Maybelle is an Associate Artist with Lauren Blair Smith Dance Company (SG/US). As of October 2022, she has taken on the leadership role as the Secretary for World Dance Alliance Singapore (2022-2024).
